Arbroaths famous sea fest

If you like to sing the blues, then a weekend in early July is for you when
the Dundee Blues Bonanza takes place. Over 50 bands play in around 30 venues
across the city - and best of all, it's free!

Each August, Arbroath harbour plays host to SeaFest, a weekend of fun and
activities with a fishy theme. There are cookery demonstrations of the most
mouth-watering dishes from the harvest of the sea, storytelling and street
theatre, and food and arts & crafts stalls.

September sees the hugely popular Dundee Flower and Food Festival, which
features over 1000 flower exhibits each year, and attracts top guest chefs
for food demonstrations.

Kirriemuir Folk Festival features bands and musicians playing both traditional
and contemporary folk music, and attracts some big names from the Scottish
folk fraternity. Also for music lovers, Hairst is an annual three week long
festival of traditional song and dance. You can catch sessions in pubs and
clubs in Angus, and attend ceilidhs at village halls for an authentic feel
of how we used to entertain ourselves before the days of TVs and PCs.

Scotlands biggest music festival is held each year at Balado, Perth & Kinross.
Dates from the 6th july - 9th july
.
